cherry s/tDeep down, in the inner reaches of your mind, there is a place where fear and loneliness play together; where thoughts of youth and growing up collide in a swirl of emotions. If music is this place; a place of power, despair, energy and excitement, you'll find CHERRY S/T - a band whose identity is simply their raw musical talent and energy of their performances offering the most powerful new rock music sound and experience of the new millennium.

2002-2003
In the summer of 2002 and at the age of 17, CHERRY S/T played one of their first live shows at Rock Free or Die II in Manchester, New Hampshire, with the likes of Sevendust, Filter and Reveille. This generated a major buzz in the Boston - New England rock scene as a band so young with such a massive, new sound had introduced themselves to the world of rock and roll and played like they had been there for 10 years.

Later that year, CHERRY S/T recorded its first demo. With only two songs, Always In and Rise and Fall, the band gained even greater acclaim as one of Boston's hottest new bands. With an immediate appearance on WAAF's Wednesday night show with Jay Ferrara, there was enormous demand for more CHERRY S/T music. CHERRY S/T released their Sleepwalkers CD in November 2002. On a follow-up appearance at WAAF, Jay Ferrara said to his audience, "WAAF has a history of identifying the great upcoming stars of tomorrow. Now, that being said, this pick is easy - CHERRY S/T's sound is huge, and at their age...holy sh*t!"

In 2003, CHERRY S/T released their second CD, Disown The World, to rave reviews. Adding drum & bass, samples and keyboards to their already original sound with the addition of DJ Chris Coiner, CHERRY S/T continued their stampede through the local music scene and gained even more attention on the national scene. With consistent airplay on the major radio stations in Boston, and constant touring and opening for national acts, their music has reached fans from coast to coast.

In 1998, at the age of 14, Denis McKenzie joined Dan Maleck, Bob Bowser and Ryan Garvin to form CHERRY S/T. It all started on a Saturday afternoon on Cherry Street in Danvers, Massachusetts.
